Movie DirectionMassimo Volta began his career as a photographer, specializing in portraiture—particularly actors and ballet dancers—and architecture/reportage.
His photographic sensibility later expanded into filmmaking, where he directed campaigns for major brands such as Valentino, Bulgari, Tod’s and Mont Blanc. His early career in photography enriched his cinematic expression, while his experience as a director, in turn, brought narrative depth and a documentary quality back into his photography.
